: [winamp]State of the Art: I think if Wassily Kandinsky were alive today, he’d want to do visualizations for Winamp. I have been spending some time with Winamp 5 and I believe that the graphic presentations represent the real state of abstract art of my generation. I can’t say I am familiar with modern art criticism, but if there are any pages in respected journals devoted to static abstract art, then the author of those pages has their head in the sand. I believe that the connection between Kandinsky’s imagination and what he laid down in visual art finds its strongest correlation now with dynamic pattern generation, particularly attached with music.

I also consider myself fortunate to have discovered this.
