: Fossils Can Talk: Readers of Guitar World magazine picked Limp Bizkit worst band of 2003. At the same time they listed "all new music" as a top disappointment, illuminating just how devoutly archaic their mindset is. Music criticism reveals the worst of human nature by completely bypassing all rationality and empathy. I can see the argument for being somewhat irrational when evaluating music, but I'm not sure why people are so anti-empathetic -- ignoring all other points of view. This highlights just how the enjoyment of music is both personal (experienced with internal emotions) and at the same time social (judged in context of interactions with others -- dating, raves, etc). The mob of Bizkit-haters becomes self-fufilling, but I refuse to cave!
