: This Movie Suxors:The Independent is running a story about text messaging is being blamed for poor movie box office totals. Word of mouth is spreading faster than ever before - so if movie is lackluster, people know faster. I believe it, and I wonder what effect this sort of thing has on CD sales. Not so much texting in general, but the net and p2p can expose lame product faster than ever before. I don't think this has been discussed as much as it deserves to be.
